Letter from a parent: "Hi! - I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful place ARCS is! My daughter is having a very good year.  In fact, her best ever! She usually has a hard time feeling comfortable, but has no problem here! Her teacher has made the class a great, caring and learning community, and this sure makes a difference! I am so glad we chose this school - it has made a big impact on my daughter's view of school now!  Sincerely, R.D."

Student Artwork on Artsonia!

Have you seen the amazing artwork ARCS students have been doing in class?  This year, ARCS is thrilled to be using Artsonia to showcase our very talented students and the artwork they create!  In addition to being able to share your student's artwork with friends and family, 20% of every purchase made will be given back to ARCS for the Arts programs here.  Go to http://www.artsonia.com and in the 'Find School' box, type in American River Charter School.

About Smarter Balanced

Teacher Appreciation Day is coming up in May but FARCS appreciates our teachers so much we are celebrating them for a whole week!
May 8th - May 12th
is all about the great teachers and staff at ARCS. One of the many ways we are going to show our appreciation is to compile a gift basket for our teachers, aides, and staff. We would love handmade gifts, gift cards, or anything you think they would enjoy. If you would like to contribute something to your individual teacher and/ or all teachers and staff, please have them to us by Thursday morning, May 11th. A box will be in the ARCS office for drop off. Please label the gift if it’s for a specific teacher. We would also like to provide yummy snacks throughout the week for the staff room, something sweet and something savory each day. If you have any questions or would like to help with a gift or snack donations, please contact Angela Bernoudy at
 (530) 903-6232/ ABernoudy@yahoo.com Thank You!
